Premium for Advanced Education
To encourage faculty members to pursue further education, two types of study plans are designed: in-service training and temporary leave without salary. Faculty who study for a Doctoral degree could receive a 5 year subsidy¡X4 years for a Masters degree--for tuition and living expenditures. Such faculty members would be prioritized for scheduling classes during two weekdays only. This convenience would be given to enhance concentration on studies.
Premium for Research Projects
To enrich teaching quality and emphasize on research projects, the school has proposed several plans:

Premium for Promotion and Publication
The Central Taiwan University of science and technology encourages faculty in pursuing not just advanced studies and research projects, but also promotion and publication. The school encourages teachers to be promoted in academia by proposing academic works.
An associated committee would review the academic works, along with other off-campus experts. Financial rewards are granted for teachers whose academic works are published in national/international journals as well as presented at conferences.
